On probably the smallest pitch we play on we just didn't take advantage of some pretty ordinary bowling which was later to be our downfall. Sam hit a quick-fire 18, Paul Downes chipped in with a very elegant 18, but we just didn't bat like we can. We just needed for someone to stay the course a get a big score, after 40 overs we finished on 167-8, which in hindsight we was light by 40-50 runs.
Carpo gave a rousing team talk for us to take the game by the scruff of the neck, but we just couldn't break through early enough, Daz Holmes & Ross Coxon bowled some cracking deliveries that on another day would have took wickets. Sam despite hurting his side in his first over took the solitary 3 wickets.
Come on lads lets shake off this losing streak.........
