Sunseekers 119 (Harry 25, Williamson 25, Carpenter 25, all retired, S Taylor 20*). Etwall Vets 113. This is the contents of Mick's email to me about the game: "Beat Etwall last night. Good game. We got 119 off the 16 eight ball overs and restricted them to 113. Very close. "Gareth, Matty & John got 25's, Sam got 20 not out. I batted down the order, number 8 with 3 to go and got 2!! "But got the fielder award." Another cracker against Etwall, not quite as close as the last one but close enough. First time we've won both against them, I think. Good to see Carpo's knee back in good enough order for a game. Sorry to have missed it, as we welcomed back old Sunseeker Gareth Harry, now of Marehay CC and had Matt Williamson back for another as well. Both played a big part in the win and, hopefully, thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Robin "Hood" Sibson fleeced everyone for a fiver afterwards, so it was good to hear that some of his ill-gotten booty went towards a jug for the Etwall lads. Etwall would now like to give us a full Sunday game next season and we won't be about to say no to that. And for a full day's game, we won't mind giving Hood a fiver, either! Additional info: Dave Evans reckons he's never seen Fred bowl better than when he was stopping Etwall scoring at the start of the innings. CC
