Custom House 123 (Bennett 4-18)
A comfortable enough win over Custom House on one of our thankfull rare visits to Darley Fields, with quality half centuries for both Paul Downes and Nigel Coulthurst. Paul hit eight fours; Nigel five fours and two sixes.
Custom House dragged themselves out of the pub typically late for this one, but, apparently, a good time was had by all. I understand the Chairman was whingeing about having no luck at all with his bowling, then about old BB coming on and cleaning up at the end bowling rubbish!
But at least to Evans fell the pleasure of landing the prize wicket of Steve Nicholls...
